LIFE IN THE ROLE 

We are seeking a motivated and organised Casual Public Relations Coordinator to support the delivery of PR campaigns, media relations, influencer engagement and race day publicity activities. 

This is an ideal opportunity for a final-year student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced sporting, lifestyle and events environment.

 

ABOUT YOU 

Essential

  • Currently completing or recently completed a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related discipline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends during key campaign periods and race days

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Media Relations 

  • Draft and distribute media releases, media alerts and supporting materials 
  • Assist with the coordination of publicity activity before, during and after race meetings 
  • Maintain media databases and respond to journalist enquiries 
  • Coordinate media accreditation and assist with the operation of media facilities on race days. 

Campaign Support 

  • Support the planning and delivery of integrated public relations campaigns. 
  • Prepare campaign documents, briefing notes, run sheets and presentations. 
  • Provide administrative and logistical support throughout campaign delivery. 

Talent and Influencer Relations 

  • Prepare talent briefs, schedules, run sheets and event documentation. 
  • Coordinate talent and influencer logistics across media opportunities, events and race days. 
  • Assist with the delivery of editorial and publicity photoshoots 
  • Coordinate styling, hair and makeup requirements for race days, events and editorial engagements 
  • Coordinate gifting, guest lists, transport and other talent requirements. 

Events and Publicity 

  • Assist with the delivery of media launches, publicity events and race-day activations. 
  • Coordinate RSVPs and guest communications. 
  • Provide on-the-ground support for talent, media and guests at events and race meetings. 

Reporting and Administration 

  • Raise purchase orders and assist with budget tracking and administration. 
  • Maintain digital asset libraries and campaign records. 
  • Compile campaign reports and contribute to post-campaign evaluations.
