The Australian Turf Club is one of Australia’s most prestigious sporting and entertainment organisations and the home of the richest race on turf globally ‘The Everest’.  With over 110 racedays and a host of hundreds of Business and Social events every year, each of our five venues – Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park, Warwick Farm and Rosehill Bowling Club.

THE OPPORTUNITY  

Join the team behind some of Australia's biggest racing and lifestyle events. 

Working closely with the Social Media Manager, you'll help bring the Australian Turf Club brand to life across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and YouTube. From capturing the excitement of racedays and major events to creating platform-native content that drives engagement, attendance and brand growth, you'll play a key role in telling the stories that connect audiences to ATC. 

This is a hands-on content role for someone who loves social media, understands what resonates with audiences, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll create content, manage communities, identify emerging trends, lead our TikTok presence, and help turn performance insights into future opportunities. 

You'll work across racing, fashion, food, entertainment and live events, collaborating with teams across the business to deliver engaging content that supports both brand and commercial objectives. 

This role is based Monday to Friday, with Saturday availability required for raceday coverage. 

 

THE RIGHT FIT 

We're looking for a creative, organised and commercially minded social media professional who knows how to turn moments into content, and content into results. 

You'll bring: 

  • A minimum of three years' experience in social media, content creation or digital marketing. 
  • Proven experience creating and managing content across major social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok. 
  • Strong content creation skills, including photography, videography, editing and copywriting. 
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Instagram Edits, or equivalent editing tools. 
  • A strong understanding of social media trends, platform best practices and audience engagement strategies. 
  • Experience using social media management and reporting tools such as Sprout Social. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. 
  • A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused mindset. 
  • A passion for storytelling, customer experience, and creating content that people genuinely want to engage with. 

 

Desirable: 

  • Experience working with brand partnerships, sponsorships, influencers or talent. 
  • An interest in, or experience within, horse racing, sport, fashion, food, entertainment or live events. 
  • A driver's licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between venues will be required.
