THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a dynamic marketing manager with the ability to lead the marketing communication plan creation and execution to growth revenue, increase customer acquisition and improve retention rates across MICE, Membership and Tourism. Based at Royal Randwick racecourse, the Marketing Manager will report to the Senior Marketing Manager.
Key objectives of the role include:
Work with agencies and internal resources, to execute creative, media planning and analytics to deliver timely, motivating and aspirational campaigns that drive consideration for our Meetings & Events offer and ensure that our venues are revered as unique, prestigious and desirable MICE event options
Develop marketing and sales tools (e.g. fact sheets, brochures, menus, quote templates, confirmation letters, award submissions) for Meetings & Events
Support the development of a 3-year tourism plan to grow interstate, intrastate and international visitation to our racedays.
Establish and maintain key industry and media relationships to aid pipeline generation across MICE & Tourism industry.
Support the implementation of marketing communication plan to ensure retention and acquisition targets for annual membership are met to grow. Currently there are 14,500 members.
Effectively brief creative studio and Brand Executive, digital team to ensure that all output targeting MICE prospects and clients, tourist sector and members has a clear commercial purpose, target audience and meets brand guidelines.
THE RIGHT FIT
To be successful in the role, the right fit will possess:
Minimum six years’ marketing experience in venues, hotels, event, sports or hospitality industry. MICE experience preferred.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage time appropriately.
Must be passionate about delivering great customer experiences.
Evidence of resilient, tenacious and action orientated approach, focused on achieving successful commercial outcomes.
Well connected to Events Industry; excellent media industry contacts an advantage.
Able to demonstrate exceptional achievement in achieving results from developing and delivering marketing communication plans.
Evidence of managing multiple internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Standard professional level IT skills.
Educated to degree standard.
