THE OPPORTUNITY

Based at Royal Randwick, you will be responsible for managing the reception desk located in the Administration building daily between the hours of 8.30am to 5pm.

The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for all visitors and guests with a focus on working to effectively implement a high standard of client care and a smooth-running reception area. This includes responding to incoming calls, emails and in person enquiries with up to date and accurate information, managing general bookings, courier, mail and office duties. This role will also be responsible for administrative assistance as and when required.

This position may have to work occasional Saturdays to support our carnival periods and have the flexibility to assist the Membership team.  

THE RIGHT FIT

To be successful in the role, the right fit will have the following experience and capability:

• Previous reception/switchboard experience;
• Previous experience in an administration or executive assistant role;
• Superior customer service with a professional and courteous manner;
• Ability to communicate at all levels and to a wide range of people both verbally and written;
• Experience with complaint handling;
• Self-driven, professional, confident and the ability to work autonomously;
• High level Microsoft office suite knowledge;
• It is important that the successful applicant present’s an appropriate image for the ATC and have the ability to deal competently with the people and problems they encounter.
